The City of Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department has summer program openings at Blackberry Farm. These are non-benefited seasonal positions.
POSITION: Recreation Specialist: Ticket Kiosk - Facility Attendant - Concession Stand
Part-Time Temporary Non-Benefited Position (maximum 995 hours per fiscal year)
Hours per week: approximately 15 - 30
Schedule of work varies with some daytime, evening and weekend hours. This is a summer position.
SALARY RANGE: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, receives, and accounts for money paid for programs and picnic grounds or concession stand; performs various clerical duties; provides informational and directional assistance to customers; performs other related duties as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Blackberry Farm Recreation Specialist accepts payment from customers paying for admission to the pool, and fees associated with picnic ground rentals; issues paid receipt forms; prepares simple reports; operates telephone system, fax machine, and copy machine; does filing of paperwork; answers questions and from customers and refers them to appropriate staff; provides assistance and directs customers to activity areas; prepares food in the concession stand and follows proper food preparation/clean-up procedures. Blackberry Farm Recreation Specialist may also be responsible for directing traffic/parking and assisting with various special events. May perform additional duties as required. Work schedule varies with some daytime, evening and weekend hours. This is a seasonal (May-September) position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 16 years old of age and registered in high school or college courses. Computer experience desirable. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK
