NATURE OF POSITION
The Alameda Free Library currently has year-round openings for part-time Library Aides to perform manual and clerical work consisting of shelving books in correct Dewey decimal order and assisting with magazine and video retrieval, clearing books, and other related work as needed. Work also may involve lifting boxes of books and climbing ladders to re-shelve books. NOTE: Applicants must be 16 years old at the time of hire and have a work permit.
This is a part-time job, averaging four (4) hours per day. Work is available days, evenings and weekends.
