Salary: $8.15 - $9.91 Hourly

Under direction of the Pool/Facilities Manager or Assistant Pool/Facilities Manager, provides swimming instruction and lifeguards; ensures safety of pool patrons through accident prevention, first aid, and water rescue techniques; follows City of Roseville techniques and lesson plans for purposeful, progressive swimming lessons for all age groups and multi ability levels; and performs related work as required.
Education: Equivalent to completion of the tenth (10th) grade or fifteen (15) years of age.
Experience: None required.
License or Certificate: Possession of a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certificate; American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate; American Red Cross Title 22 First Aid for Public Personnel certificate; and American Red Cross Administering Emergency Oxygen certificate upon date of appointment. Possession of a current Roseville Swim Instructor I (RSI I) certificate is desired.
Please note: All required certifications must be completed by date of hire.
On a continuous basis: work outdoors in or around water; exposed to extreme heat; know and understand assignment and observe safety rules; stand, bend, climb, swim when instructing or assisting class participants.
