The Department of Finance is seeking two interns to work in the Treasury division. Tasks will include conducting field audits of Sunnyvale businesses to ensure that the business has a current Sunnyvale business license. This position will not contact the business owner but will return to the office with a listing of businesses which are operating without a business license. (Additional follow up with the business will be handled by internal staff.) Other duties include data entry involving the City's licensing database.


Hours: available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.



The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate working toward a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance or related field.



Possession of and continued maintenance of a valid class C California Driver's license and a safe driving record.


Please note: A current (issued within the last 30 days) California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record printout is required for this position. The DMV record printout must be submitted to the Department of Human Resources, 505. W. Olive Avenue, Suite 200, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 at time of application.


Any candidate that is selected will be required to successfully complete a Department of Justice fingerprinting background check.
