The Community Resources Assistant I is the entry level support class responsible for providing general guidance to one or more recreation related programs. The Community Resources Assistant II is the journey level support class responsible for helping to plan program content and oversee the daily operations of one or more recreation related programs. Education and/or Experience:
Community Resources Assistant I
Possess a high school diploma and 1 year of experience with recreation programs or events, or 1 year of college.
Community Resources Assistant II
Possess a high school diploma and 2 years of professional experience in community programs in recreation or a related field, or 1 year of experience in community programs in recreation or related field, and 1 year of college.
Positions available in Youth Sports Programs: Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, and Softball/T-ball.
- Youth Sports Program hours include: M-F, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Youth Sports Program
- Sports knowledge and skills required. Coaching experience is desirable.
By reason of part-time status, such employees are not eligible for full-time benefits, but are subject to deductions for the Accumulation Program for Part-Time (short-term) and Limited Service Employees (APPLE). The City does not participate in the Social Security System.
