PART-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE IN THE YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAM, APPROXIMATELY 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK. MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE IN A VARIETY OF SPORTS INCLUDING: FLAG FOOTBALL, SOFTBALL/T-BALL, SOCCER, AND BASKETBALL.
MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY-FRIDAY, 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. AND SATURDAY, 8:00 A.M.-12:30 P.M.
The Community Resources Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of community and recreation service support functions in the Parks and Recreation Department. Under general supervision, assists, plans, coordinates, and implements programs, services and activities for the community; depending on the area of assignment, assists with developing program content, provides public assistance, including explanation of activities and programs, records reservations for classes and trips, oversees indoor facility rentals, and participates in set-up and tear down of events; and performs other related duties as required.
Education and/or Experience: Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a Community Resources Specialist. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of college, and the equivalent of two years of responsible experience in recreation programs. Relevant experience in municipal or private leisure service agencies may be counted in lieu of college work.
