The City of Dixon is recruiting to fill temporary, part-time positions to oversee facility rentals of the Senior/Multi-Use Center during non-business hours. 


  **Must be at least 21 years of age or older to apply for this position**


Typical duties include opening and closing of building, monitoring event, assist participants with operation of facility, taking charge in the event of an emergency and insure building is secure upon completion of event.  Hours are varied in accordance with scheduling of events.  Events may include, but are not limited to the following:  wedding receptions, business meetings, parties, recreation classes, etc.  


QUALIFICATIONS: Applications are invited from qualified persons who possess the knowledge and abilities to perform the job. A typical way to obtain such knowledge and ability would be:  


Education:     High School Diploma preferred.


Experience:   Ability to successfully supervise and communicate with a variety of people and to carry out City policy in a friendly, yet firm manner.


Other Requirements:


Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire.


Selected positions require a California Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continuous employment.


Community CPR Certificate required upon 3 months of employment.


Pursuant to section 10911.5 of the California Education Code, applicant will be required to submit one set of fingerprints to the California Department of Justice prior to employment.


This position is subject to random controlled substance testing and/or breath alcohol testing.

Exam Process:  A limited number of candidates whose applications indicate that, among those competing, they are better qualified in terms of related training and experience will be invited to participate in an oral interview scheduled with the Recreation Department Staff.


EMPLOYMENT PROCESSING:

CalPERS Annuitants will be limited to only 960 hours in a fiscal year.
