Salary: $13.51 - $14.90 Hourly

The City of Dixon is recruiting to fill two temporary, part-time positions to work one to three evenings per week, that may involve late hours, filming Dixon City Council, Parks and Recreation, Planning Commission, Dixon Unified School District Meetings; plus a limited number of additional hours as needed. Typical duties include: operating a variety of video and audio equipment such as cameras, remote controls, VCRs and video switchers to provide live and taped cable television coverage; monitoring system operation, diagnosing problems and making minor adjustments; and operating various computer systems such as updating the City's cable television bulletin board.  Work is normally conducted in a small, confined control room with low light and low noise levels.


This recruitment is open until filled; however, it may close without notice after a sufficient number of candidates have been accepted. First review of applications will be Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Ideal Candidate:

Applications are invited from qualified persons who possess the knowledge and abilities to perform the job. A typical way to obtain such knowledge and ability would be: 

EDUCATION: Coursework and/or training in the area of telecommunications and video equipment operation is desirable.
 
EXPERIENCE: Some experience in a multi-camera studio production is desirable.
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 
 
Ability to possess and maintain a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial and continued employment.
 
Must be at least 18 years of age if required to drive vehicles for City business.
