GET PAID TO PLAY!  Chico Area Recreation & Park District is accepting applications for P/T Recreation Leaders for after school programs at elementary schools. 


 


Employment Dates: Hiring for the remainder of the Sping 2017 semester and for the entire Fall 2017 semester.  Employment dates are May 3-June 7, 2017 and August 18-December 22, 2017 with the opportunity to return for the Spring 2018 semester.


 


Schedule:  Hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00-6:00 pm.  Looking to hire for substitute list positions with the possibility of permanent placement.  To be hired as a substitute, you are not required to be available every day. 


 


Position:  After school leaders will assist children grades 1-5 with homework, facilitate activities and create a safe and fun environment.  In addition, leaders are expected to enrich the lives of the children by providing a nurturing environment and unique opportunities for them to learn and grow.


 


Group interview: (upon invitation- attend one) 


Wednesday, April 12 from 11:00am-1:00pm


Wednesday, April 12 from 2:00-4:00pm


                                                       


Mandatory Meetings:


Wednesday, May 3 from 1:00-5:00pm (New Hire Orientation & Training)


Friday, August 18- all day- times TBA (All Staff Training)

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for applicants who enjoy and have experience working with children (after school or camp experience preferable) and have strong multitasking skills.  Applicants must be able to work independently and ensure the wellbeing of children in groups of up to 15.
