$20.00 hourly- Management Intern II

Management Interns perform a full array of entry level duties assigned including administrative work on projects; assist in a variety of studies and research for the assigned department; write a variety of reports; prepare reports and recommendations relative to an assigned area of responsibility. 


Education and/or Experience:

Management Intern I: An Intern must be enrolled as a third or fourth year student in undergraduate studies in an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or Public Administration or a degree program applicable to the area of responsibility.

Management Intern II: Current enrollment as a post graduate student in a Master's Degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration or a closely related field, and one (1) year experience equivalent to a Management Intern at the City. 

Both levels require a State of California Class C Driver License.  


Ideal Candidate:

The current vacancy for Management Intern exists in the City Council Office and Public Works, Water Division, Engineering Division and Development Services 

Duties specific to these department include:

Assisting City Council Office in administrative support duties.     Candidates interested in this position should have coursework completed in Public Administration or related field.

Assisting Public Works and Utilities staff in permitting, CIP (PW, Water and Wastewater) and front counter receptionist duties.  Candidates interested in this position should have coursework completed in Engineering. 


The City of Colton does not offer Benefits to Part-Time positions.
