The intern will work with staff at the Regional Water Quality Control Plant to develop the Plant’s greenhouse gas inventory for calendar year 2010 and coordinate with Utilities staff to report the inventory through The Climate Registry. The intern will assist in adapting a Sustainable Energy Optimization Tool to the Plant to evaluate opportunities for optimizing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Assist staff with other Plant projects and pollution prevention programs as needed. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting protocols, be familiar with wastewater treatment processes, and be comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word.
