This intern would work with staff in our Utilities Customer Service Unite to implement a Demand Response Pilot Program for large electric commercial customers during the summer of 2011 and 2012. The intern would help manage the program by coordinating notification to customers, analyze usage reduction below baseline and help process incentive payments. Additionally, the intern will evaluate the feasibility and merits of implement a Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) program for Photovoltaic systems within the City, with a minimum size of 50 kW per project. The intern may assist in conducting internal workshops at the end of the assignment to publicize the elements final FiT program and process/responsibility of each division when a supplier makes a FiT application. The ideal candidate will be a graduate student in engineering, economics or related fields with good analytical and computer skills.
