The City of Albany is seeking motivated and energetic candidates to fill two vacancies in the City of Albany Child Care Center (Friendship Club) providing after school activites to school-aged children. The Program Leader II is a part-time position working approximately 20-25 hours per week and plays a key role in the programs provided to children in our community. General working hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 6:30pm.
Typical Job Duties
Facilitate and supervise indoor/outdoor game activities for participants
Facilitate and supervise homework activities and mathematics tutoring
Administer snack to participants
Council and administer redirection instruction to participants when necessary
- Provide after school child care
- Pick-up and drop off students
Three years of work experience in leading recreational programs for school age children in an independent manner
Must demonstrate a strong desire and aptitude for working with school age children
Must be able to work a flexible weekday schedule, with occasional weekend assignments
Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
Specialized education in a childcare curriculum can be substituted for experience on a year for year basis
