The City of Campbell announces an employment opportunity for: 

Spinning/Indoor Cycling Instructor 

Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour DOQ (Part-Time, Non-Benefited position)

Schedule: Actual work schedule and classes taught to be determined through mutual agreement with coordinator. Employees may be required to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

The Position: The City of Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced Spinning/Indoor Cycling Instructors for Spinning class instruction at the Campbell Community Center for weekday NOON classes, as well as subbing evening Spinning classes occasionally.

Responsibilities: Under direct supervision of the Recreation Fitness Specialist, is responsible for group instruction of Spinning fitness classes, utilizing Spinning or Indoor Cycling Certification training, and must possess a current CPR/AED certification. Ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively with participants and general public; adhere to class structural guidelines and time schedules; maintain patron safety in and around Campbell Community Center facilities; comply and enforce all City of Campbell and Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum age at time of hire is 18 years old.

• Professional certification(s) and experience.

• Valid California Driver’s license.

• Must have a Spinning certification through Mad Dogg Athletics, or nationally recognized indoor cycling certification.

• Current CPR/AED certification • Fingerprint clearance (Department of Justice background check.)

The City of Campbell will schedule fingerprint appointment and encumber cost upon hire.

Selection Process: The most qualified applicants as determined by initial screening of applications and references will be invited to participate in an interview process and instruction practical. Appointments will be made from the eligibility list established from results of the interview process. Appointment to this position is contingent upon a pre-employment fingerprinted criminal history, records check and the ability to provide verification of authorization to work in the United States.
