Description

Positions:  Summer Camp Recreation Leaders 

Camp Dates are JUNE 11-AUGUST 17.  Camp meetings and trainings will begin in April.

Pay Rate:  $11.00 - $12.98/hour depending upon experience.

CAMP CHICO CREEK

Staff will work inside and outside at the Chico Creek Nature Center.  Camp activities include singing camp songs, hiking, creek play, arts, crafts, games, hands on science lessons, meeting with the center's animals and much more.  Candidates with experience working with children in a similar, outdoor, natural environment are desired. 

Leaders will plan and lead activities for groups of children aged 4 - 12.  Hours are 7:15 am to 5:30 pm.  Staff must be available for all camp dates.  Staff are scheduled for up to 38 hours/week. 

CAMP CHI DA CA

Camp Chi Da Ca is an outdoor nature camp located at Hooker Oak Park.  Camp activities include singing camp songs, hiking, creek play, arts, crafts, games and much more. 

Leaders will plan and lead activities for groups of children aged 4 - 12.  Hours are 7:00 am to 6:15 pm.  Staff must be available for all camp dates.  Staff are scheduled for up to 38 hours/week, with the option of 1 week vacation.  Candidates with experience working with children in a camp or after school program environment are desired. Candidates with an outdoor education background are highly desired.

SUMMERTIME DELIGHT

Summertime Delight is a traditional day camp.  Leaders plan activities based on weekly themes.  Camp activities include arts, crafts, games, daily swimming, weekly field trips and much more.  Leaders work indoors and outdoors.

Leaders will plan and lead activities for groups of children aged 5-12.  Hours are 7:00 am to 6:15 pm.  Staff must be available for all camp dates.  Staff are scheduled for up to 38 hours/week, with the option for 1 week vacation.  Candidates with experience working with children in a camp or after school program environment are desired. 

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be well organized, professional, enjoy children, and have prior experience working with elementary age children, preferably in a summer camp or after school program setting.  Applicants must be able to work during the specified program hours.  Must be CPR/First Aid certified by the start of camp. 

Special Instructions

You will be asked to select an interview day and time.  Applicants need to bring a visual resume to the interview.  The requirements for the visual resume are:

1 8.5x11 piece of paper

Must include a photo of you, along with anything else you would like the interview panel to know about you.  This is your moment to shine- tell us about your skills, hobbies and why we should hire you.
