Customer Service Attendant / Softball Scorekeeper


The City of Cupertino Recreation and Community Services Department has a seasonal employment opportunity for softball scorekeepers for adult softball leagues held at Memorial Park.

POSITION: Customer Service Attendant I (Part-Time, Non-Benefited, maximum 995 hours per fiscal year)

WORK HOURS: 5 to 20 hours per week, weekday evenings 5:00 pm to 10:15 pm

SALARY RANGE:  $14.00 - $16.00

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Typical duties include, but are not limited to: preparing the softball field (water, drag, and line the field), accurate scorekeeping for games, maintaining team files, operating the scoreboard, collaborating with umpires to enforce league rules, and providing excellent customer service to league participants.


  • Must be 16+ years old, have the ability to provide own transportation to and from work and possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License.
  • A knowledge of basic customer service principles and the ability to communicate appropriately with participants, umpires, and park patrons
  • A great attention to detail and the ability to work with little supervision
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (CPR and First Aid certification and re-certification will be offered to new employees)
