Golf Shop Attendant /Customer Service Attendant – Blackberry Farm Golf Course

Salary Range: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour

The Position: The City of Cupertino Recreation and Community Services Department has positions open at Blackberry Farm Golf Course. There are multiple shifts that need to be filled. The opening shift is 6:30 am to 1:00 pm and the closing shift is 12:00 pm to closing (Sunset). These shifts will include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This is a Part-Time Temporary Non-Benefited Position (maximum 995 hours per fiscal year).
Definition: Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for enforcing the playing regulations set forth by the City, helping players in need of assistance on the golf course or adjacent patio area, working under general supervision with well-defined standards, rules and regulations, and performing other related duties as required.
Job Description: The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for collecting cash fees, credit card sales, and keeping accurate records of golfers' tee times and pay codes. The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for maintaining the flow of players going off the first tee. The attendant will take phone reservations. At the end of each shift, the attendant is responsible for ensuring that all of their sales are accurate and match the log-in sheet. They will also make sure all returned rental equipment has been cleaned and put away. The employee will make sure the patio area is cleared of garbage and swept, the golf shop vacuumed, and the restroom supplies checked and stocked.
Qualifications: Must have golf course experience and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Must posess a valid American Red Cross CPR/AED certificate or similar certificate. Must be able to work well with others, provide excellent customer service on the telephone, and have the ability to multi-task. The Golf Course Attendant must be a minimum of 16 years old.
