The position of Deputy County Counsel I/II/III provides a variety of professional legal services to the County through the County Counsel’s office and performs related professional and administrative work as required. This is a multi-level professional classification series in which incumbents may be assigned to any of the three (3) levels, depending upon experience, proficiency gained, and the complexity of assigned planning functions. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

The City of San José, Office of the City Attorney is seeking an attorney with California municipal law and government experience, or transferable legal skills and a commitment to public service. The Office of the City Attorney for the City of San José is seeking an
experienced trial lawyer for the position of Chief Deputy City Attorney.
This position serves as the lead trial attorney for the City’s most
challenging cases, has supervisory responsibility for cases assigned to
Deputy and Sr. Deputy attorneys, and provides leadership, guidance
and training to the City’s litigation team.
The total salary range is $189,488 to $286,979. This amount includes
an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay.
