This position performs legal work in the enforcement of laws; prosecutes criminal cases as assigned by the District Attorney; advises the general public and law enforcement officers on criminal matters; and does related work as required. Public Safety Dispatchers are tasked with dispatching first responders including police, fire and medical services.
This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.

LARPD is seeking a summer intern to support the Community Outreach Department. Applicants should have the equivalent of one year of college credits completed toward a degree. Candidates interested in learning about communications, content creation, and social media with a government agency will be given preference.
