This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performs booking procedures, including receiving, booking and assigning prisoners to cells; performing body searches; fingerprinting, and photographing prisoners, etc.
• Maintains custody of prisoners’ private property.
• Maintains the safe and orderly operation of the County jail facility; monitors security cameras and door warning lights; screens and monitors visitors. Inspects all of inmates’ incoming and outgoing mail and telegrams.
• Inspects facilities regularly.
• Monitors the condition and activities of prisoners.
• Prepares prisoners for court appearances; provides transportation as necessary.
• Administers First Aid in emergency situations.
• Performs general office work, including but not limited to entering computer data, copying and filing documents, etc.
• Prepares and submits required records and reports.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performs routine patrol duties, including but not limited to patrolling assigned areas of the County; responding to emergency calls and/or public calls for assistance; investigating disturbances, prowlers, burglaries, thefts, vehicle accidents and other crimes; checking buildings for physical security, etc.

• Administers first aid in emergency situations.

• Issues traffic citations.

• Serves warrants, subpoenas and civil documents.

• Apprehends and arrests suspects and violent persons; transports prisoners; seizes property and/or criminal evidence; interrogates suspects, witnesses and complainants; gathers and preserves evidence.

• Assists with County search and rescue operations.

• Prepares various reports on investigations, including arrest and unusual incidents observed.

• Assists with criminal investigations as required.

• Prepares case files; testifies and presents evidence in court.

• Works with other law enforcement agencies in matters related to the investigation of crimes and apprehension of offenders.

• May serve as special duty officer as assigned, including responsibilities such as serving on the narcotics task force, serving as Deputy Coroner, providing court security, serving as school resource officer, serving as K-9 handler, serving on gang task force, etc.

• Participates in other special projects and programs as assigned.

• Performs duties related to crime prevention and community relations.

• Performs general administrative work, including but not limited to attending meetings, preparing correspondence and reports, entering computer data, maintaining files, answering the phone, etc..

• Performs related duties as assigned.

About the Position:  This position requires the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

The Accounting Technician performs a variety of routine to complex administrative and technical duties related to payroll and other accounting support duties. Top candidates have experience working with financial systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and information systems.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• accounts receivable/payable,
• review, post, balance, reconcile, and maintain accurate and confidential accounting and payroll records,
• verify, post, and record a variety of financial transactions; prepare and maintain databases,
• maintain a variety of ledgers, registers, and journals according to established accounting policies and procedures; reconcile transactions and account statements; record changes and resolve differences; maintain the accuracy of accounting and financial records,

Education and Experience:  any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

THE JOB

Responsible for the safety, supervision, discipline, and customer service of all persons using the City of Live Oak Pool facilities.  Generally, works under direct supervision of the Lifeguard Supervisor or Parks and Recreation Director.  Must be willing to work other than normal work hours and be available to work as scheduled based upon the need of the department.  Must be able to attend Pre-season training, and successfully pass a lifeguard skills review.  Must be 15 years of age or older, and wear Department of Recreation staff swimwear.  Employee may be asked to provide assistance and/or accommodations to include participants with disabilities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

For Lifeguards and Instructors: Possession of a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate (LGT) AND a valid CPR Certificate AND First Aid for Public Safety Personnel, California Title 22. About The Position:

The County of Yuba is actively recruiting to establish an eligibility list for the position of Deputy Sheriff-Lateral. Deputy Sheriff’s perform a wide variety of patrol officer and related duties required to effectively respond to and resolve the normal scope of peace situations, including the protection of life and property, enforcement of laws and ordinances, criminal investigation, report writing, crime prevention and suppression, case preparation and testimony, and providing information and assistance to the public and perform related duties as assigned. PAL (Police Activities League) Program Attendants work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist I. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19 hours per week.

The Department: The Recreation, Parks and Marina Department is responsible for the operations and programs of the Suisun City Marina, the Senior Center and the Joseph A. Nelson Center, including preschool, after-school programs at various sites, recreation classes and sports leagues, community events and special event rentals.

The Position: PAL Program Attendants work with Suisun City’s PAL Program and with area teenagers ages 13-19 to implement educational and recreational activities: tutoring, sports, games, mini-excursions, competitions, contests, seminars, and special events, and provide general support to the program’s Recreation Supervisor. Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Coordinator II – Aquatics Safety manages the City’s Aquatics lifeguards and scheduling, including lap swim, water-walking, lifeguard certification, community CPR/First Aid classes and JR Lifeguard program.  This position also supervises all lifeguards, senior lifeguards and provides key assistance to the Recreation Supervisor on all related matters (works closely with Recreation Coordinator I- Aquatics programs to support division goals and activities).

The Aquatics & Fitness Center is a 7-day a week operation.

Recreation Coordinator II schedule may include Saturdays and Sundays and is subject to change depending on facility and supervisor needs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Recruit, hire, manage, train, schedule, audit, discipline and evaluate staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers.
• Schedule and provide regular in-service training for aquatics staff.
• Schedule and provide regular class and certification offerings necessary to staff for the proper operation of a public pool facility.
• Manage and develop the swim lesson program to balance and meet the needs of the community and the goals of the Department.
• Plan, develop and implement programs and events.
• Evaluate the progress and effectiveness of scheduling and programming utilizing measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate with local police and fire agencies for emergency response protocols.
• Assist in the development of policies, procedures, contracts, and manuals for facility users and staff.
• Work with local organizations, businesses, school personnel, parents, and community members in developing recreational programs and activities.
• Maintain all personal certifications and be available to lifeguard, teach swim lessons, and otherwise supplement line staff when needed.
• Provide assistance and guidance to facility users, anticipate and resolve problems, provide quality customer service.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
