The Senior Crossing Guard will work under the supervision of the Transit Program Manager and assist in the coordination of the school crossing guard program.
This is a part-time/hourly position and the incumbent will work approximately 20 - 25 hours per week during the school year, not to exceed 1000 hours in a Fiscal Year. Schedule will be dictated by school schedules.

School Crossing Guards work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the regular school year. School Crossing Guards are assigned to designated locations in the City of Campbell assisting elementary and junior high school students to safely cross the streets.

The City of San Jose is recruiting for a part-time School Crossing Guards in the Police Department during the normal school year. Work involves providing for the safe conduct of elementary and junior high school children across heavily traveled streets and reporting problems requiring possible police action.
Under the general direction of the Administrative Services & Human Resources Director/Risk Manager, manage, plan, coordinate, participate in, and supervise the activities of the Fleet Section including all new vehicle purchasing, vehicle maintenance, and vehicle disposal. Assigned functions are equipment and vehicle mechanic services which City personnel and contractors provide. This is an exempt, mid-management level position that is charged with managing the Fleet function to include related regulatory compliance requirements and reporting.
