• Analyst I: $85,525.44 - $103,958.40
• Analyst II: $93,344.16 - $113,436.96

This salary range(s) includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates' qualifications and experience.

The Analyst I/II position in the Bureau of EMS & Training (BET) reports directly to the EMS Division Battalion Chief . The BET EMS Division Analyst I/II position will primarily support EMS Performance Analytics, contractual performanc e compliance , special studies, grant administration, and other EMS general administrati ve activities.

The City of Patterson is recruiting for a Firefighter Paramedic.  This safety position will respond to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, traffic accidents, rescue and other emergency calls to protect life and property.  This position will also participate in trainings, drills, study activities and in the maintenance of the department apparatus, equipment, and facilities.  Under the supervision of the Fire Engineer or Fire Captain, performs ALS care to patients of medical emergencies and other medical procedures. THE POSITION

Under general direction, supervises, evaluates, plans and participates in the day-to-day operations of the City’s wastewater treatment plant and facilities as well as the water system and infrastructure; assists in the preparation and administration of the division budget; evaluates and trains assigned staff; interfaces with and coordinates assigned functions with other City services and departments; represents wastewater treatment plant and water system operations with governmental regulatory agencies; ensures work quality and accuracy and safe work practices; serves as a technical resource for assigned work crews and the department Director; performs other management related duties as required. 

DISTINGUISING CHARACTERISTICS:

The Utilities Superintendent is part of the mid-management level class responsible for assigning and supervising the day-to-day operation, development, repair and maintenance of the City’s wastewater treatment plant and facilities as well as the water system and infrastructure. The incumbent is expected to perform the full scope of duties. This classification is distinguished from the higher classification of Director in that the latter is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Department. FLSA status – exempt.

• Ability to meet and maintain standards of physical conditions as prescribed in NFPA 1582-1992.

• By July 8, 2024, applicant must possess and maintain a current and valid State of California Paramedic License, and/or a current and valid NREMT-P Certification. 
• Possess and maintain a current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Possess and maintain a current and valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

Typical Duties:

• Responds to fire, medical, and other emergencies.
• Perform fire, rescue and hazardous materials evolutions and operate equipment necessary to deal with the emergency situation within the District standards and within the Firefighter 1 certification.
• Provide emergency medical treatment as an Emergency Medical Technician I and assist paramedics as requested.
• Perform fire prevention, pre-fire planning, public education, public relations efforts, and hydrant maintenance.
• Drives and operates all fire apparatus and, if qualified, the Districts’ aerial in a safe manner and with due regard for the welfare of the public and the District.
• Maintains familiarity of streets, topography, physical conditions, and other matters affecting response in the District.
• Maintains familiarity with the District policies, procedures, and programs.
• Maintains proficiency in basic firefighting and rescue techniques and participates in District training programs.
• Perform routine apparatus, equipment and station maintenance and cleaning.
