The Unit has the responsibility for administering the Airport's network & telecom infrastructure, outside plant infrastructure, data centers, application services, Helpdesk, desktop support, website services, business process improvement initiatives, and the project management office (PMO). Along with these services, the Airport Technology Services Department team also provides services to the airlines, City staff, and tenants.

The SAP I will provide applications systems solutions and support for users at SJC and will be responsible for:
• Providing programming / technical level support for the Airport's intranet, built on SharePoint Online (SPO).
• Providing technical level support to implement BPA (Business Process Automation) tools on SPO. This includes providing SimpliGov, WorkFlow, Power Automate, MS Teams, and other similar No-Code / Low-Code technology solutions.
• Implementing and deploying new applications releases - such as Bentley Projectwise Document Management System and Airport ERP (i.e. Propworks). These are systems that have been purchased by the Airport and currently run on-premise. Airport IT provides platform support and Level 1 applications support for these systems. On-going systems enhancements and level 2 support (and beyond) are provided by the application vendors.
• Maintaining and enhancing Airport applications using tools including SQL server, Microsoft Visual Studio, and similar applications development tools.
• Development, deployment, and support of Airport specific tools and applications tools as appropriate to improve Airport business processes and procedures.

In addition to the citywide SAP skills requirements, the following technical skills will be essential:

Salary range for this classification is: $81,790.80 - $99,437.52

This salary range(s) includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates' qualifications and experience.

About the Highway Program Deputy Director

The Highway Program Deputy Director, reporting to the Chief of Engineering and Program Delivery, manages a diverse and talented team of seasoned staff who is well-versed on the delivery of capital projects related to the State highway system and other roadways in the county. This position is responsible for directing and leading collaboration on planning, design development (including technical analysis in support of preliminary engineering and final design), project-related right-of-way activities (in coordination with VTA Real Estate), construction management and close out, overall program/project management (including scopes, costs, schedules and quality of work), management of staff resources (both VTA and consultant), coordination with project stakeholders within VTA and beyond (e.g., local agencies, Caltrans, federal agencies, resources agencies, utilities, etc.), and community and other outreach (working with VTA public information and government affairs staff).

Community Outreach: Summer Youth Volunteers Project Plan 

The Community Outreach team is seeking a summer intern for a 10–12-week assignment.  The goal of the internship is to gain valuable experience managing high school aged volunteers that will support a variety of summer camps and programs throughout the district.  

Key duties 

• Be primary point of contact for Summer Youth Volunteers. 

• Assist with volunteer orientation and ongoing training sessions throughout the summer. 

• Oversee volunteer schedule. 

• Track volunteer hours logging. 

• Create program completion documents. 

• Assist with planning end of summer recognition event. 

Key deliverables will be: 

• Maintain volunteer hour tracking and create end of summer recap report. 

• Complete summer training and check-in reports. 

• Create and distribute volunteer completion certification with hours totals for all summer volunteers. 

• Report any concerns from staff and volunteers or development opportunities for volunteers through regular check-ins. 

What learning will occur for the intern? 

• Experience managing volunteers. 

• Learn how summer programs work/run in a special district.  

• Gain familiarity with volunteer management software. 

• Graphic design creating infographics and end-of-summer reports.

Timing 

June-August 9th.  Interns may start and end later but need to be present for the core Sessions slated for the entire month of June, July and through August 9th.  

Work hours will be Monday – Friday, 25-30 hours per week during the 12 weeks of employment.  The pay rate will be $20 per hour.  All interns will be required to successfully complete a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and undergo a TB test as a condition of employment.

The mission of the Finance Department is to strategically manage the City of San José's financial resources for all stakeholders.

The Finance Department works in partnership with the departments of Human Resources, Information Technology, and Public Works as the City's Strategic Support City Service Area to effectively develop, manage, and safeguard City fiscal, physical, technological, and human resources to enable and enhance the delivery of City services and projects. The Finance Department has a $24.2 million operating budget and 134 budgeted full-time equivalent (FTE) positions. Reporting directly to the City's Chief Procurement Officer, the Program Manager will work both independently and collaboratively, and will exhibit cross-functional expertise in procurement, contracting and information technology. The Program Manager will have five (5) direct reports (Senior Analysts) and five (5) indirect reports (4 Analysts and 1 Buyer) and will provide leadership, development, and mentorship for the reports. The essential job duties of this Program Manager position include:

• Plan, direct, and manage multiple procurement and contracting services for City departments.
• Lead all major Information Technology (IT) procurements.
• Work closely with the IT Department and City Departments on purchasing, contracting, and ongoing vendor management for all enterprise systems, including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), payroll, online permitting, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, mobile data computers for the Police Department, and all network upgrades.
• Analyze, negotiate, and maintain the City's IT software licensing agreements.
• Provide guidance and assistance to City staff with developing scope of work and specifications for IT procurements.
• Evaluate procurement requests by City staff and advice on the appropriate procurement vehicles.
• Oversee preparation and issuance of documentation required for competitive solicitations including but not limited to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs).
• Negotiate, prepare, and write complex contracts; negotiate and review contract amendments and change orders.
• Provide leadership, direction, and assistance to City departments on procurement and contract negotiation activities.

• Provide procurement-related training to City staff.
• Represent the Finance Department on cross department projects and meetings.

 Creation of Bicycle Advisory Commission      

A Bicycle Advisory Commission of the Town of Danville is hereby established.  The Commission shall consist of six (6) regular members, one of whom shall be a Youth Commissioner.

Qualifications

All members of the Commission shall have experience, training, occupation, or education demonstrating a knowledge of and interest in bicycling.  Members of the Commission shall represent an inclusive cross-section of interests in bicycling such as recreational cyclists (road and mountain biking), commuters, families, seniors and youth, and merchants interested in cycling and cycling safety.

Powers and Duties

Advise the Town Council and Town Staff on matters related to:

1. Implementation of the Town’s Bicycle Master Plan;
2. Conditions, operations and safety of existing bicycle facilities and other non-motorized forms of transportation;
3. Review of proposed bicycle-related policies, programs, projects, plans, funding applications, and legislation;
4. Coordination with the public including bicycle-related organizations, the business community, and other local agencies to promote cycling projects and programs; and
5. Development and dissemination of bicycle awareness and education materials to the community.

Term of Office

For the initial five appointments to the Commission except the Youth Commissioner, two of the members shall be appointed to two-year terms and three shall be appointed to four-year terms.  All subsequent appointments shall be for four-year terms.  The term of the Youth Commissioner shall be two years.

Time and Place of Regular Meetings

The Commission shall hold at least one regular quarterly meeting.  The Commission shall fix the time and place of its regular meetings by resolution and may call special meetings as necessary.  All meetings of the Commission are open to the public and the Commission shall give notice of its meetings as required by law.

Absence from Meetings

If a member of the Commission is absent without cause from three (3) consecutive regular meetings of the Commission, that member’s office shall be vacant automatically. The Commission shall immediately notify the Town Council of the vacancy. A member is not absent without cause if that member’s absence is (1) due to illness or (2) unavoidable, and the member gives the Secretary of the Commission notice before the day of the regular meeting at which the member will be absent and giving the reason for the absence. 

Removal or Vacancy

A member of the Commission may be removed by a majority vote of the Council.  A vacancy is filled in the same manner as the original appointment.  A person appointed to fill a vacancy serves for the remainder of the unexpired term.  

No Compensation

Members of the Commission shall not receive compensation for their attendance at Commission meetings but are entitled to reimbursement for reasonable expenses actually incurred in the course of their duties, provided that such reimbursement shall first be approved by the Town Council. 

Adoption of Rules

The Commission shall adopt rules for the transaction of its business and shall keep a public record of its resolutions, transactions, findings, and determinations. 

Residency Requirement

All members of the Commission shall be residents of the Town of Danville.

Qualifications and Role of Youth Commissioner

The Town Council shall appoint a Youth Commissioner to serve on the Commission to represent the interests of Danville youth. The Youth Commissioner shall be a Danville resident of high school age. The Youth Commissioner shall have the same obligations and authority of all other commissioners.

Officers and their Duties

The Commission shall elect a Chair and Vice-Chair from among its members. The Chair and the Vice-Chair serve for a term of one (1) year and until the successor of each is appointed and qualified.  The Chair shall preside at all meetings of the Commission, shall appoint committees of the Commission as needed, and shall perform such additional duties as are necessary and incidental to the office.  The Vice-Chair shall perform the duties of the Chair on such occasions as the Chair shall be unavailable or unable to perform such duties.

Brown Act and Conflicts of Interest

The Commission shall be subject to and conduct its business in compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, California Government Code, Section 54950 et seq. The members of the Commission shall be subject to the provisions of the Town’s Conflict of Interest Code.
