THE POSITION
The City is currently seeking General Maintenance Workers. This temporary position works with the City’s maintenance staff to perform: unskilled labor in the parks and landscape medians, street and sidewalk maintenance, street sign maintenance, and building maintenance. Duties include, but are not limited to: raking, emptying trash cans and litter removal, irrigation repair, weeding, edging, street sign maintenance and graffiti removal. Work is closely supervised; work methods are explained in specific terms and work is subject to frequent review.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to keep our camps running smoothly by performing both routine and heavy, physical work in the construction, maintenance, repair and cleaning of camp facilities. You'll operate a variety of hand and power tools to perform preventive maintenance and repair.
Our two overnight camps are located near South Lake Tahoe and Yosemite.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Seasonal Maintenance Worker position performs a variety of entry-level and unskilled labor, maintenance and repair tasks in various public works operations, such as park maintenance, landscape maintenance, creek and catch basin maintenance, street maintenance, and janitorial and facility maintenance.

The Position: This is the non-sworn, trainee-level class in the Police Officer series. Incumbents earn an hourly wage while attending a basic POST certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for performance of Police Officer duties. Employment in this classification is contingent upon maintaining enrollment in a POST approved academy for which they are enrolled.

The Position
THE POSITION / JOB DUTIES
The Police Public Service Assistant (PSA) III is assigned to the Police Department’s Equipment Room and provides daily support with the customer service and equipment room operations. Examples of job duties include:
· Issues and collects equipment, vehicles, and weapons to and from Police Department staff
· Maintains inventory and accounts for all equipment assigned to the Equipment Room
· Transports and coordinates repair of Police Department vehicles
