The City of Gilroy is currently recruiting for two (2) Management Analysts – 1 in the Community Development Department and 1 in the Public Works Department. The eligibility list from this recruitment may be used to fill other Management Analyst vacancies in the City during the life of the list.
The Public Works Maintenance Worker IV position leads and works with a crew of workers engaged in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, culverts and other related structures, various traffic control maintenance and repair activities and in the Solid Waste Site operations of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of heavy construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks; performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Chief Building Official supervises the activities of the Building Inspection Division; performs complex administrative and technical work in administering and enforcing state construction codes and City ordinances; acts as the Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Officer; and administers the Fire Prevention agreement with the Alameda County Fire Department.

Under the general direction of the Administrative Services & Human Resources Director/Risk Manager, manage, plan, coordinate, participate in, and supervise the activities of the Fleet Section including all new vehicle purchasing, vehicle maintenance, and vehicle disposal. Assigned functions are equipment and vehicle mechanic services which City personnel and contractors provide. This is an exempt, mid-management level position that is charged with managing the Fleet function to include related regulatory compliance requirements and reporting.
