The Department of Transportation is currently seeking two (2) Heavy Equipment Operators (HEO) for the Infrastructure Maintenance Division, Sewers section. Under general supervision, the HEO performs work of moderate difficulty in operating heavy motorized construction equipment requiring a high degree of skill in the maintenance of City streets and sewer lines and in the conduct of wastewater treatment operations.

SMART is a new commuter rail service located in Marin and Sonoma counties in Northern California. Under direction of the Track Maintenance Supervisor, the Track Maintainer position is responsible for railroad track inspections, maintenance and repair. This position will be responsible for the inspection, testing and diagnostic analysis of SMART’s track. THE POSITION: The City of Los Banos is seeking an individual to fill the position of Dispatcher in the Police Department. This individual will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to answering emergency and non-emergency radio and telephone communications, dispatching personnel and equipment, searching inmates, conducting checks of entire jail facility and assisting with other jail functions, entering police reports into computer system, and other related duties as assigned.

STREET PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE: The ACI in this section typically oversees pavement and concrete work by ensuring quality workmanship and contractor compliance with City Standard Specifications. The ACI will also perform significant project scoping and quantification work for project preparation under the supervision of a Senior Construction Inspector (SCI).
