Central County Fire Department (CCFD) serves the Cities of Burlingame and Millbrae and the Town of Hillsborough. The Department serves a population of 66,045 from six fire stations across a service area of approximately 15 square miles. CCFD is supported by 91 FTEs and a FY2023-24 operating budget of $33.14 million. The Fire Marshal reports to the Deputy Fire Chief and oversees the Prevention and Preparedness Division supported by 7 team members.
 
CCFD is seeking a well-regarded professional in the regulatory community who is an outstanding communicator and relationship builder capable of easily establishing credibility with a wide range of audiences. Three years of experience as a fire inspector or as a company officer performing fire prevention inspections and possession of an AA/AS degree will be considered qualifying. A California Fire Prevention Officer Certificate is required. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable.

Woodside Fire Protection District offers an exceptional Cadet Program for individuals interested in a career in the Fire Service. Cadets gain hands-on experience participating in training and public service events. Cadets work 24-hour shifts and ride-along on emergency calls.

Woodside Cadets will work and be involved in:

Emergency calls, firefighter training, public education events, fire prevention, station duties, CERPP, CPR/first aid training. They must also meet monthly hour requirements and attend monthly training drills.

The Cadet term begins in July 1st 2024 through June 30th 2025.

The Dixon Fire Department is opening their first Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit position for someone to attend the Fire Academy in August 2024. The "Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit" is an entry-level classification designed for recruits with a current paramedic license to gain firefighting, fire rescue, and fire prevention skills and training necessary through an accredited Fire Academy. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is conducted both in a fire station and in the field in various settings. Some of these include exposure to smoke, odors, heat, steam, fumes, and dust, as well as periodic exposure to dangerous or life-threatening situations. Work involves irregular hours during days and evenings, on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of a Limited Term Project Manager in the Administrative Services Department, with a focus on the scheduled Library Renovation. This limited term appointment is set to end in June 2025.

About Administrative Services:

The Administrative Services Department provides logistical and resource support to all County departments. We are the primary provider of Custodial Services, Fleet Services, Capital Improvement Planning and Acquisition and Facilities Maintenance. We provide purchasing guidance and serve as Purchasing Agent for County procurement needs as well as assist vendors interested in doing business with the County.

Examples of Duties:

• Participate in and supervise the design, implementation, integration and/or installation required for the project assigned; schedule the project timeline in logical steps and budget the appropriate amount of time required to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate, conduct and review a variety of complex analytical and support activities, including policy and procedure development and implementation; assist in the development and implementation of project goals, objectives, procedures and work standards.
