Under the direction and supervision of senior management in the Office of the City Attorney, the Associate Deputy City Attorney position will perform basic attorney work benefiting a variety of City Departments while receiving valuable training and experience for a career in public service.

LARPD is seeking a summer intern to support the Summer Youth Volunteer Program. Applicants should have the equivalent of one year of college credits completed toward a degree. Candidates interested in learning about recreation, volunteer management, and community services will be given preference. Interested candidates should complete an application online. ABOUT THE POSITION
The position of Deputy County Counsel I/II/III provides a variety of professional legal services to the County through the County Counsel’s office and performs related professional and administrative work as required. This is a multi-level professional classification series in which incumbents may be assigned to any of the three (3) levels, depending upon experience, proficiency gained, and the complexity of assigned planning functions. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.
