THE POSITION

Are you interested in assisting individuals to get connected to the resources and support they need to work on their mental health?  Tri-City is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be a part of the Access to Care (ATC) team. The Clinical Therapist I/II position for the ATC team will appeal to individuals who are interested in assisting participants and clients with enrolling into mental health services and getting the support they need.  We are looking for individuals inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community.  The Clinical Therapist I/II will report to a Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

 

• Conduct same day biopsychosocial assessments with both adults and/or children and carry no caseload;

 

• Will formulate a differential diagnosis concerning the nature of the mental health challenge;

 

• Create treatment plans and complete all necessary Electronic Health Record documentation;

 

• Perform screenings, linkage to resources and provide crisis interventions and crisis assessments;

 

• Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and ensure Network Adequacy;

 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must have excellent attendance;

 

• Collaborate with outside agencies to coordinate care for individuals seeking services.

The Clinical Therapist I/II provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned clients and their families; develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic counseling, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of adults, juveniles, and/or children; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and performs related duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Honorary Dean Allison Internship may include:

• Assisting staff to develop and implement the City’s sidewalk maintenance program.
• Drafting, iterating, and designing policy to introduce the City’s tree ordinance, urban forestry initiative, and the City’s public asset inventory project 
• Assisting with the permitting, sediment, reporting and regulatory compliance in support of the City’s Dredging project.
• Designing content and materials for public dissemination and outreach regarding City projects, maintenance activities, and public safety information.
• Preparing written reports on DPW program activities.
• Creating, updating and auditing project financial spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
• Conducting research and analysis of federal, state and local laws related to DPW engineering projects.
• Compiling information, preparing documents and public education materials for community members and stakeholders on DPW projects.
• Participating in city-wide projects in which DPW public works programs and activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduated or currently enrolled in the 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree program or higher in an Engineering, Business, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or related program.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.

The City of American Canyon Parks & Recreation Department invites energetic, creative and responsible individuals to apply for the position of Program Coordinator. Program Coordinators are part-time, temporary staff members who work under Recreation Coordinators to oversee and implement a wide range of recreation programming. Program Coordinators may be asked to provide recreation leadership, supervision, and assistance in various recreation programs, including day camp, youth and adult sports, special events and outdoor spaces.

This position is well-suited for applicants with experience as a Recreation Leader or Youth Leader, can work independently, and effectively lead staff members.

Being a Program Coordinator can include working shifts that are scheduled during early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays all year around.  This is a position that is considered temporary/part-time and employees are limited to no more than 980 hours per fiscal year.

Supervision

This position reports to the Chief of Construction. Assorted tasks may be supervised by the Construction Services Manager and the Construction Project Analyst.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Physical Demands

Senior Management Analyst II – this class is the full journey level class and is experienced to work independently in identifying the need for and developing changes to operating practices, systems, programs and policies.  Incumbents perform the full array of duties within the area of assignment, including complex analytical projects and providing staff support to department administration and city officials as well as working with high degree of independence in interacting with all levels of city employees, managers, elected officials, community groups, and other governmental agencies and the public. 

This position performs the following essential job duties (including but not limited to):

• Assists or leads projects, tasks, and assignments that are priorities for the senior management staff.
• Assumes direct responsibility for managing a variety of projects and programs; oversee assigned administrative support functions including budget.
• Supervises, plans, organizes, and reviews the work of lower level technical and clerical staff.
• Leads departmental communication efforts, providing information to the pubic and interacting with media on issues pertaining to the functions and issues of the Department and City.
• Participating in drafting and implementing Department and/or City-wide goals, policies, and procedures.
• Manages or participates in special projects, including complex research of new programs and services, budget analysis and preparation, and feasibility analyses; prepare and present reports; participates in a variety of Department operations.
• Reviews council reports to ensure financial information is accurate and that policy issues have been addressed in advance.
• Tracks the impact of State and Federal legislation on the Department or city and make recommendations regarding City positions. 
• Prepares and monitors department annual and capital budgets, mid-year budget review, work plans and periodic forecasts; provides complete analysis of revenues and expenditures for each program, re-forecasts and develops new budgets.
• Compiles narrative, fiscal and status reports on department, division, project and fund revenues and expenditures and assists with necessary adjustments.

• Prepares and administers various grants for the department; monitors active grants to ensure that all stipulations and regulations regarding the use of funds are met; and maintains required records to ensure compliance.
• Participates in the public information functions of the City’s Emergency Operation Center.
• Prepares City Council agenda reports.
• Acts as staff to City Advisory Committees as directed by senior executive staff.
• Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.  A typical way to obtain these would be:

• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration or a related field.
• A master’s degree in public administration, public policy, or business administration is highly desirable.

Senior Management Analyst I:

• Three to four years of progressively responsible analytical experience.

Senior Management Analyst II (in addition to the requirements for the Senior Management Analyst I, this level requires):

• Five years or more of experience performing increasingly complex, professional analytical work with a high degree of autonomy.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

The City of San Rafael is recruiting for a Senior Planner in our Community Development Department. This position is responsible for the program, administration, and the performance of a comprehensive planning/economic development division and performs professional current and/or advanced planning work.   

The employee in this position exercises supervision over other professional, technical and/or office support staff.  At this advanced level the incumbent is expected to utilize highly technical, analytical skills which are necessary in order to function with the degree of independence required in completing assignments.

• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional planning experience.
• A Master’s degree in Planning may be substituted for one year of experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Public agency experience desirable.
