Salary Range is $268,899 - $310,428 negotiable; depends on qualifications.
The position may be filled at either the Building Maintenance Technician I ($25.5464 - $34.2345 per hour) or at Building Maintenance Technician II ($28.2260 - $37.8255 per hour), based on candidate qualifications and experience.

Join the City of Berkeley's Planning and Development Department in its effort to protect the health, safety, and welfare of citizens by enforcing building codes and regulations. As a Certified Building Inspector I or II, you will perform skilled inspection work in the enforcement of building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, zoning and related codes and regulations that govern new building and housing construction, additions, alterations, repairs and use of existing buildings. The Position

The incumbent in this assignment will support cross-departmental projects, administer assigned programs, perform research, provide budgetary analysis and serve as a liaison with the Mayor and City Council Members. Participation in communications activities, including marketing and social media use will also be a responsibility for this position.
