Under close supervision, performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled public works maintenance tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, signs, striping, painting, building maintenance, tree trimming, debris removal, and street light repairs. This is the entry level class in the Maintenance Worker series. Although trucks and other motorized equipment may be operated by a Maintenance Worker 1, the equipment is used on a training basis for tasks which are repetitious in nature.
To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water lines, sewers, storm drains, and pump stations. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Water Distribution division, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.
