DEFINITION: Under general supervision, performs a variety of preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of water pollution control plant, sewage pumping facilities, and equipment; maintains accurate maintenance records; orders and maintains an inventory of supplies, parts, and other frequently used items; and performs related duties as assigned.

THE POSITION
The position of Deputy County Counsel I/II/III provides a variety of professional legal services to the County through the County Counsel’s office and performs related professional and administrative work as required. This is a multi-level professional classification series in which incumbents may be assigned to any of the three (3) levels, depending upon experience, proficiency gained, and the complexity of assigned planning functions. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
JOB DUTIES
This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.

The Office Technician I/II position at the Sheriff’s Office performs a wide variety of specialized technical duties and provides information and assistance to the public regarding departmental policies, procedures and laws. The Office Technician II position is distinguished from the class of Office Technician I by the responsibility to perform the most complex technical duties in the program to which assigned. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
