This is a seasonal, part-time position.
Under the general supervision of a Public Works Streets Supervisor or Parks & Grounds Supervisor, and direction of a Maintenance II lead, incumbents in this classification assist with the cleanup and maintenance of City parks, streets, and satellite facilities including buildings, equipment, bus stops, parking lots, trails, flora and landscapes; and perform related work as required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (illustrative only):
Under general supervision, lead, and conduct activities in the delivery of recreation program areas including camps, preschool, tots, after school programs, parks and nature, teens, boxing, youth and adult sports, special events, and active adults; oversee the proper use of indoor and outdoor community recreational facilities, perform a variety of custodial tasks; assist the public and staff in their use of the facility.

LIFEGUARD / INSTRUCTOR
Under general supervision, the Lifeguard provides a safe environment for all types of aquatic programs. The Lifeguard prevents loss of life or injury to patrons and at times performs related maintenance duties. Some evening and weekend hours are required. Mandatory pre-season in-service training sessions will be held in June.
