The Fire Equipment Technician performs and/or supports a key fire equipment maintenance function, as well as general technical activities for the San José Fire Department's Bureau of Operational Support.

The Department of Public Works is seeking to fill a Maintenance Worker I position in the HVAC Shop located at the Central Service Yard within the Facilities Management Division. The Maintenance Worker I will support the basic preventative maintenance of the air conditioning work group. This position reports directly to the Air Conditioning Supervisor for various daily assignments. Working under immediate supervision, and working with HVAC Staff and/or independently in mechanical rooms and on rooftops would be a regular occurrence.
