THE POSITION

Under supervision, a Building Inspector I performs detailed inspection of structures for conformance to codes, ordinances, approved plans, calculations, and specification; and other duties as assigned.

Examples of Important and Essential Functions

Field Inspection Functions

Performs building, fire, electrical, plumbing and mechanical inspections of all structures during construction to ensure conformance to City/State codes, ordinances, approved plans, calculations, and specifications, using appropriate safety precautions; checks for setbacks and conformance to zoning regulations; checks signs and fences; investigates complaints; interprets codes, reports violations and hazardous conditions and orders corrections; notifies builders of required changes and makes re- inspections; performs fire prevention inspections and investigations of new and existing structures; and advises the public regarding construction practices and principles.

Administrative Functions

Reviews plans and specifications for the purpose of conducting building inspection work; prepares records, reports and correspondence; utilizes personal computers to perform data entry functions; and may be assigned to assist in the Permit Center, as needed.

THE POSITION

Are you interested in assisting individuals to get connected to the resources and support they need to work on their mental health?  Tri-City is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be a part of the Access to Care (ATC) team. The Clinical Therapist I/II position for the ATC team will appeal to individuals who are interested in assisting participants and clients with enrolling into mental health services and getting the support they need.  We are looking for individuals inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community.  The Clinical Therapist I/II will report to a Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Conduct same day biopsychosocial assessments with both adults and/or children and carry no caseload;

• Will formulate a differential diagnosis concerning the nature of the mental health challenge;

• Create treatment plans and complete all necessary Electronic Health Record documentation;

• Perform screenings, linkage to resources and provide crisis interventions and crisis assessments;

• Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and ensure Network Adequacy;

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must have excellent attendance;

• Collaborate with outside agencies to coordinate care for individuals seeking services.

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for a special individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Children’s Full Service Partnership/Children and Transitional Age Youth (FSP/ C TAY). The Clinical Therapist I/II provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned clients and their families; develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic counseling, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of adults, juveniles, and/or children; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

This Internship is offered as part of a Regional Internship Partnership to introduce and encourage new graduates to local municipal governments. The Town of Los Altos Hills hopes that internships like this will serve as a platform to connect a diverse student population with agencies that recognize their value and provide important opportunities for applicants to bring fresh ideas while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the public sector.

Job Description: 

The intern’s workload will be a balance of assisting in daily municipal operations and special projects. Duties may include, but are not limited to proof reading, poster design, grassroots marketing, implementing events, organization of record management, benchmarking, photographing activities and research. The position will serve as a regular staff member and will receive assignments and work direction from the Community Services Supervisor. The primary goal of the internship program is to provide a college student or recent graduate an opportunity to apply their academic training in a municipal government setting. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in the daily operations of municipal government on all levels, thus enhancing the intern’s skills and résumé for a future profession in government.

THE POSITION:

The Facilities Carpenter I is an entry level classification in the carpentry series. Carpenters in this class are assigned routine skilled carpentry tasks. Under the training concept of growing excellence in craft, positions allocated to the Facilities Carpenter II level which become vacant may reasonably be filled at the I level. 
 

The Facilities Carpenter II is responsible for performing a variety of skilled carpentry and related tasks in the construction, remodeling, repair, and maintenance of City facilities. This the journey level classification within the carpenter series. Incumbents at this level act with independence, handle "master" craftworker projects, and assume the more complex activities which would otherwise require the attention and coordination of the Facilities and Building Manager. 

 

 

Essential Duties

What you will do: 

Depending on assignment, duties may include but are not limited to the following:  
 

1. Remodels offices in City facilities. Takes down walls, doors and windows, reinstalls new walls and cuts in new doorways.

2. Installs, repairs and replaces doors, door closures, windows, floors, roofs, and other structural appurtenances.

3. Builds and repairs wooden fixtures and office furniture of all kinds.

4. Fabricates new cabinets, bookshelves and countertops.

5. Performs maintenance and repair work on all city buildings, rental units, and on private residences involving Police damage to the premises.

6. Rescreens screen doors and window screens.

7. Fabricates tack boards and bulletin boards.

8. May perform allied craft work in the course of maintaining City facilities.

9. Performs related work as necessary.

• Tools, materials and standard practices of the carpentry trade.
• The qualities of various woods and related building materials and their suitability and use in specific situations.
• Federal, state, and county municipal building codes.
• Occupational Safety and Health Act safety requirements, and related devices and equipment.

• Skillfully use carpentry and related tools and equipment.
• Work from sketches, drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications and instruction manuals, and independently make necessary corrections.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is recruiting an undergraduate or graduate-level City Administration College Intern for the summer of 2024. This internship will provide a significant opportunity to gain experience and exposure and accumulate skills that are used daily in various city government programs that make substantial impacts to the community. VOLUNTEER WORK SCHEDULE

The office start and end date of the internship will be determined at the time of hire. Work hours are generally Monday – Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm.

THE POSITION: 

The City of San Pablo is actively recruiting for a Community Services Coordinator I/II position to plan, organize, and direct services and programs within the Community Services Department for our senior population, volunteer programs and city-wide special events. Our senior programs provide opportunities for adults 50 years of age and older, to engage in active and healthy programming. The Church Lane Senior Center hosts a congregate lunch program, numerous senior focused special events, weekday door-to-door transportation service (managed by a different full-time coordinator) and drop- in programs and classes. The city hosts 10-12 city-wide special events each year that include family dances, spring egg hunt, Cinco de Mayo celebration, Movies Under the Stars, 4th of July Multi-Cultural celebration, Halloween, Veterans Day and a Winter Wonderland Festival. The Community Services Department relies heavily on volunteers for both special events and senior programs and wants to expand the volunteer recruitment and training program.

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Coordinator II – Aquatics Safety manages the City’s Aquatics lifeguards and scheduling, including lap swim, water-walking, lifeguard certification, community CPR/First Aid classes and JR Lifeguard program.  This position also supervises all lifeguards, senior lifeguards and provides key assistance to the Recreation Supervisor on all related matters (works closely with Recreation Coordinator I- Aquatics programs to support division goals and activities).

Recreation Coordinator II schedule may include Saturdays and Sundays and is subject to change depending on facility and supervisor needs.

• Schedule and provide regular in-service training for aquatics staff.

• Maintain organized records of rental bookings, payments, and rental agreements, ensuring compliance with rental policies and procedures.
