Hours: Casual non-benefited employees are limited to working no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and no more than 900 hours in a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Varying shifts are available including Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Position
About the Position: The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Midpen) Seasonal Ranger Aide is an entry-level position, which provides the opportunity to learn and perform some duties of a ranger under the guidance of experienced ranger staff. To perform a variety of skilled work involving the trimming, removal, installation, and general maintenance of trees; to operate and maintain all tree maintenance equipment; and to perform related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
A Responsible individual is needed to maintain and enforce proper city procedures and policies in our parks, parking lots and ball fields. Park monitors will perform park inspections and enforce park policies, supervise patrons, renters and daily facility management.
