Community Outreach: Summer Youth Volunteers Project Plan 

The Community Outreach team is seeking a summer intern for a 10–12-week assignment.  The goal of the internship is to gain valuable experience managing high school aged volunteers that will support a variety of summer camps and programs throughout the district.  

Key duties 

• Be primary point of contact for Summer Youth Volunteers. 

• Assist with volunteer orientation and ongoing training sessions throughout the summer. 

• Oversee volunteer schedule. 

• Track volunteer hours logging. 

• Create program completion documents. 

• Assist with planning end of summer recognition event. 

Key deliverables will be: 

• Maintain volunteer hour tracking and create end of summer recap report. 

• Complete summer training and check-in reports. 

• Create and distribute volunteer completion certification with hours totals for all summer volunteers. 

• Report any concerns from staff and volunteers or development opportunities for volunteers through regular check-ins. 

What learning will occur for the intern? 

• Experience managing volunteers. 

• Learn how summer programs work/run in a special district.  

• Gain familiarity with volunteer management software. 

• Graphic design creating infographics and end-of-summer reports. 

• Communication opportunities both with program staff and volunteers. 

Timing 

June-August 9th.  Interns may start and end later but need to be present for the core Sessions slated for the entire month of June, July and through August 9th.  

Work hours will be Monday – Friday, 25-30 hours per week during the 12 weeks of employment.  The pay rate will be $20 per hour.  All interns will be required to successfully complete a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and undergo a TB test as a condition of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION INFORMATION

Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is currently recruiting  for Preschool Teachers  who are cheerful, child focused, and creative to plan themed based programs. This position will be responsible for planning curriculum, engaging in conversations with children (age 4 and 5), assist children in projects, supervise indoor and outdoor play, interact with parents, oversee the direction of the assigned teacher assistant, and be responsible for the overall safety of the children in the program.  

Minimum educational requirement: 12 ECE units in the core classes. Must have experience and understanding of working with preschool children. 

Schedule: This position will be three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8:30 a.m- 1:00 p.m.

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration. 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and oversee workers' compensation claims management including monitoring accepted claims and providing information to claimants, attorneys, and the workers' compensation carrier. QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will have an ability to perform complex analytical work in support of Pioneer’s product structuring, resource planning activities and rate setting and apply analytical and research methods to a variety of electric utility program areas including planning, forecasting, load research, utility demand, and demand-side management.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Economics.
Experience: Five to ten (plus) years of experience in a position with similar duties including programming expertise (e.g., C++, Python, R, Matlab).

COMPENSATION PACKAGE
