This is the entry-level class in the City’s professional Planner series, reporting initially to the Sustainability and Resilience Program Manager. The Community Development Assistant may be assigned technical/professional duties within either or all the functional areas of the City’s Community Development Department, which include general planning administration and enforcement, sustainability & resilience, economic development or transportation.
Please note this is a temporary position subject to funding. Currently the position is anticipated to be funded through June 30, 2020. During Fiscal Year 2019/2020 funding for this position will be reevaluated.
Under general supervision, performs entry and journey-level current and advanced planning functions in support of staff and management; and performs related duties as assigned.
