Woodside Fire Protection District offers an exceptional Cadet Program for individuals interested in a career in the Fire Service. Cadets gain hands-on experience participating in training and public service events. Cadets work 24-hour shifts and ride-along on emergency calls.

Woodside Cadets will work and be involved in:

Emergency calls, firefighter training, public education events, fire prevention, station duties, CERPP, CPR/first aid training. They must also meet monthly hour requirements and attend monthly training drills.

The Cadet term begins in July 1st 2024 through June 30th 2025.

Cadets must have a valid EMT certification, proof of medical insurance and a valid California driver license in order to apply.

The City of San José is recruiting for a Finance Applications Associate IT Manager (Enterprise Principal Technology Analyst) in the Information Technology Department. This position is responsible for the management and support of the City's enterprise Finance Management System, Revenue Management/Collection System, and Finance Reporting System. This position combines managerial and leadership responsibilities along with hands-on technical expertise to deliver day-to-day system operations. Key job duties are service level management, including service level agreements (SLAs) and Incident Management, as well as delivery of smaller projects and system enhancements. The Finance Applications Associate IT Manager is also responsible for resource and performance management of the Finance Applications IT Team.

The Dixon Fire Department is opening their first Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit position for someone to attend the Fire Academy in August 2024. The "Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit" is an entry-level classification designed for recruits with a current paramedic license to gain firefighting, fire rescue, and fire prevention skills and training necessary through an accredited Fire Academy. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is conducted both in a fire station and in the field in various settings. Some of these include exposure to smoke, odors, heat, steam, fumes, and dust, as well as periodic exposure to dangerous or life-threatening situations.
