THE POSITION
The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Camp Maintenance Mechanic (Non-Career Intermittent) in the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to keep our camps running smoothly by performing both routine and heavy, physical work in the construction, maintenance, repair and cleaning of camp facilities. You'll operate a variety of hand and power tools to perform preventive maintenance and repair.
Our two overnight camps are located near South Lake Tahoe and Yosemite.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Seasonal Maintenance Worker position performs a variety of entry-level and unskilled labor, maintenance and repair tasks in various public works operations, such as park maintenance, landscape maintenance, creek and catch basin maintenance, street maintenance, and janitorial and facility maintenance.

Facility Maintenance Worker I / Intern (20471318)
POSITION
To perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance of City-owned buildings, equipment and facilities. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current temporary/part-time vacancy in our Community Services Department and to create a list for future vacancies.
Candidates who do not currently meet the minimum qualifications for the Facilities Maintenance Worker I position may be considered for an Intern position instead.
LARPD is seeking a summer intern to support the Summer Youth Volunteer Program. Applicants should have the equivalent of one year of college credits completed toward a degree. Candidates interested in learning about recreation, volunteer management, and community services will be given preference. Interested candidates should complete an application online. Through a variety of tasks and duties, interns will gain well-rounded, first-hand work experience and observational knowledge in the fields of urban forestry management and municipal administration.
