The Office of Mayor Sam Liccardo seeks a talented and experienced individual to execute and coordinate its external communications strategy. Under the guidance of the Communications Director, the Press Secretary will handle media inquiries, pitch stories, draft press releases, develop op-eds and columns, and plan press events. The person in this role will also develop messaging, build relationships with media contacts, and staff the Mayor at interviews and press events.
The Communications Director (CD) is an at-will position that reports to the Mayor's Chief of Staff and interfaces directly with the Mayor to provide communications and messaging on a broad range of public policy matters.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) is a new commuter rail system located in Marin and Sonoma Counties. We are seeking two full-time Code Compliance Officers to perform specialized inspections and enforcement of ordinances, regulations and laws governing the transit system. This position is non-sworn and unarmed.
