The City of Santa Rosa is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the position of Senior Building Inspector. The Senior Building Inspector will have responsibility for supervising the construction inspection activities of the Building and Code Compliance division; reviewing and resolving difficult and complex inspection issues and conflicts; and providing technical staff assistance and direction.
The Department is currently recruiting to fill multiple Building Inspector Combination (BIC) positions in the Building Inspection Division. A Building Inspector Combination reviews plans, issues permits, and performs field inspections for a variety of buildings and structures being constructed, altered or repaired to ensure compliance with building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical codes and related Federal, State and local regulations. Specific position assignments will vary depending on the business needs of the Department.
