The City of Sunnyvale is searching for a Payroll Technician III in the Department of Finance. The Payroll Technician III is part of a small team that processes payroll for the City, paying a complex and dynamic workforce that includes shift work, police and fire pay, and a variety of regular and seasonal employees. The candidate selected for this position will be one of the core payroll team members, and must have strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as strong attention to detail and know how to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Division Manager classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
