Position: Building Attendant
Hours per week: 15 to 20 (approximate)
Salary Range: $14.00 - $16.00
The Scorekeeper maintains the score and operates the scoreboard during adult softball and basketball games.
The City’s Parks and Community Services Department is looking for dependable, personable self-starters to serve as Scorekeepers for the City’s Adult Softball Leagues (Fallon Sports Park) and Adult Basketball Leagues (Stager Community Gymnasium). This position reports to a Recreation Supervisor. Typical duties include: scorekeeping, operating a scoreboard, ensuring facilities are properly set up for leagues, cleaning up after events; and reporting results.
The City of Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is looking for reliable, creative, and enthusiastic people to serve as role models and mentors for activities and programs based out of our Youth Center at Red Morton. Under supervision, the Recreation Specialist I will plan, organize, and supervise activities for the Youth Center, at special events, and on Youth Center trips. This positon will include afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. The Youth Center is open Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri from 3-6 p.m., and Thurs from 2-6 p.m. during the school year and 12-6 p.m.
The City of Redwood City is looking for people interested in working with pre-school children 20 hours per week in a fun environment in our Lil’ Learners Program and Spanish Immersion Program at the Red Morton Community Center. This position will plan, organize and conduct projects and activities that support basic academics, be involved in planning, preparing and participating in arts, crafts, story reading, song time and motor skill activities for pre-school children ages 3-5 years old.
The City of Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department is looking for people interested in working approximately 15-20 hours per week, working the special events programs operated by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. Incumbents will typically assist in setting up, monitoring, and breaking down the events all while providing excellent customer service to visitors.
