Glenn County is recruiting individuals to fill three full time and multiple Part Time/ Extra Help positions in the Public Works Agency. The Public Works Maintenance Worker I/II/III position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled labor in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, and other related structures, and in various traffic control maintenance and  repair activities of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks at the Glenn County Public Works Agency. The Public Works Maintenance Worker III position is the journey-level class in the series, and is distinguished from the Public Works Maintenance Worker II by the primary responsibility to operate heavy diesel and gasoline-powered construction equipment in the maintenance of roadways, drainage systems. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares roads for patch repairs, overlays, or chip seals; prepares mix for patching roads; repairs and reconstructs roads.
• Cleans roadsides and drainage systems; inspects and clears debris from drainage systems; conducts roadside burning as needed.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael Sanitation District is recruiting for a full-time Administrative Assistant II position.  Under general supervision, this position provides responsible, varied, secretarial and office administrative assistance to the department.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Set up and maintain financial, statistical, and operational records, including reviewing departmental payroll submittals and various time sheets.
• Administer and maintain complex procedures, including issuing permits, submitting required information/forms for the inter-governmental reimbursements and/or grant monies; and as related to assigned program areas.

THE POSITION:

The Facilities Carpenter I is an entry level classification in the carpentry series. Carpenters in this class are assigned routine skilled carpentry tasks. Under the training concept of growing excellence in craft, positions allocated to the Facilities Carpenter II level which become vacant may reasonably be filled at the I level. 
 

The Facilities Carpenter II is responsible for performing a variety of skilled carpentry and related tasks in the construction, remodeling, repair, and maintenance of City facilities. This the journey level classification within the carpenter series. Incumbents at this level act with independence, handle "master" craftworker projects, and assume the more complex activities which would otherwise require the attention and coordination of the Facilities and Building Manager.

1. Remodels offices in City facilities. Takes down walls, doors and windows, reinstalls new walls and cuts in new doorways.

4. Fabricates new cabinets, bookshelves and countertops.

THE POSITION: 

The City of San Pablo is actively recruiting for a Community Services Coordinator I/II position to plan, organize, and direct services and programs within the Community Services Department for our senior population, volunteer programs and city-wide special events. Our senior programs provide opportunities for adults 50 years of age and older, to engage in active and healthy programming. The Church Lane Senior Center hosts a congregate lunch program, numerous senior focused special events, weekday door-to-door transportation service (managed by a different full-time coordinator) and drop- in programs and classes. THE DEPARTMENT

The American Canyon Police Department provides first response services to all forms of emergencies and crises.  The Department provides public safety by enforcing the Penal Code, Health and Safety Code, Vehicle Code, and local ordinances.  American Canyon Police Department is comprised of 24 sworn peace officers, two non-sworn Police Technicians, and an Administrative Clerk.

THE POSITION

The Police Technician performs a variety of non-sworn, administrative and field support tasks associated with law enforcement support services, which may include property and evidence collection, crime prevention, parking enforcement, vehicle abatement, and community relations; to maintain confidential and highly sensitive records related to police activities; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

This is a high-profile position with frequent interactions with community members in often difficult circumstances. The quality of the work performed in this role is reflective of the standards of the Department and the City. This is a uniformed, civilian position that does not require peace officer status. However, a detailed background investigation, medical exam and drug screening is required due to the sensitive nature of the work involved.

This position is not designated for retired annuitants.

 

THE POSITION

Typical duties performed by a Police Technician may include, but are not limited to, the following:
 

• Patrol areas of the City to identify and resolve parking violations and traffic hazards and enforce applicable laws; respond to citizen complaints regarding parking and abandoned vehicle laws; tag and arrange transportation of abandoned vehicles.
• Provide assistance, information and directions to motorists; assist in the coordination of Police Service support for special events in the community; provide traffic control at local schools.
• Respond to non-emergency calls and service requests; take information from citizens and prepare crime reports for non-active calls; interview victims, suspects and witnesses, as directed, and provide referral information.
• Assist with Neighborhood Watch meetings and other crime prevention activities; provide information to interested citizens on neighborhood alert procedures; assist in coordinating crime prevention public displays.

• Log and distribute subpoenas to officers and citizens.

• Handle the abandoned vehicle program to include locating and citing abandoned vehicles and overseeing the towing away of the vehicle.

• Assist Police Officers with vehicle and person searches.
• Drive a City vehicle to respond to citizen/officer requests; assist and support patrol division in the performance of their duties in the field.

Human Services billing sections supports multiple programs that provide community services to residents. The billing staff work with a variety of HSD staff, including clinicians and administrators, as well as program vendors and state and county agencies.

 

The Position

 

The City of Fremont, Human Services Department - Billing Unit is looking looking for candidates who are eager and interested to learn and grow their finance and billing skills and be part of a dynamic customer service oriented team. Under direct supervision of the Management Analyst II, the Human Services Billing Unit Accounting Specialist I will work as part of a billing team and also across the various department divisions. This position is responsible for assisting in the billing process of our Medi-Cal programs through the use of our new electronic health record system and other county, state and

funder based billing systems. Our department provides an array of counseling and case management services to children, youth, seniors and families across the Tri-City area. The Billing Unit is tasked with ensuring that our services are billed to the appropriate sources. Advancement to level II requires gaining the knowledge, skills, and experience that meet the qualifications and demonstrating the ability to consistently perform the work of the level II classification.

Examples of Job Duties

 

• Perform financial, accounting or statistical office support duties including producing invoices and billing of services, accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing functions.
• Reconcile service billing to actual service provision. Billing can be done electronically or manually.
• Provide a variety of financial, accounting and auditing office support duties in the preparation, maintenance and processing of accounting and financial records.
• Issue receipts and balance accounts on a regular basis.
• Record or post information, data or figures.
• Maintain a variety of manual and automated records.
• Receive reports and other requests for payment with purchase order or contract documents.
• Reconcile and prepare payment requests for service and non-purchase order expenditures.
• Receive and process bids, quotes, requisitions, purchase orders, agreements, contracts, and other documents.
• Research and assemble information from a variety of sources for the completion of forms or the preparation of reports, invoices and/or cost reports.
• Review and reconcile reports, computer output and related data.
• Provide information to the public or to City staff that may require the use of judgment and interpretations of City policies and ordinances, rules or procedures.
• Make mathematical calculations.
• Provide information to vendors regarding invoices and purchase orders.
• Operate standard and specialized office equipment including computer equipment.
• Enter and retrieve data from an on-line or personal computer system and uses such technology to produce reports, tables and graphs.
• Prepare client statistical reports from database used for Clinical and Family Support Service programs.
• Attend County Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (CMAA) and Targeted Case Management (TCM)provider meetings and trainings.
• Perform a variety of general administrative office support duties such as typing, proofreading, filing, and answering the telephone.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
• Enter or transfer data to multiple data systems used by the County and State where deadlines may be prescribed.
• Prepare data reports which will assist department administrators to track contract compliance requirements.
