THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael Sanitation District is recruiting for a full-time Administrative Assistant II position.  Under general supervision, this position provides responsible, varied, secretarial and office administrative assistance to the department.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Set up and maintain financial, statistical, and operational records, including reviewing departmental payroll submittals and various time sheets.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael Parking Services Department is seeking a full-time Parking Attendant II.  Under direct supervision, this position provides general service and information to the public, is responsible for the upkeep, presentation, and general operations of all City parking areas.

The Parking Attendant II will perform a variety of Parking Operations duties and will have the authority to make some operational decisions.  This position will perform basic equipment maintenance based on the presence of fairly clear guidelines from which to make those decisions, and the availability of supervision in non-routine circumstances.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Assists the public at all City parking locations, providing general information about the City of San Rafael, and specific information about rates, locations, and various programs.
• Operates all parking equipment and collects parking fees and provides change to customers.
• Direct, instruct and assist customers with all parking equipment and parking needs, including, but not limited to, meters, change machines, multi-space equipment and pay-on-foot stations.
• Maintains records of transactions and parking activities.
• Prepares cash deposits and delivers to designated drop areas.
• Provides forms, receipts, monies and related information to the City.
• Regularly inspects elevators and all parking equipment, fixes and/or reports to supervisors any damaged or malfunctioning equipment as appropriate.

THE POSITION: 

The City of San Pablo is actively recruiting for a Community Services Coordinator I/II position to plan, organize, and direct services and programs within the Community Services Department for our senior population, volunteer programs and city-wide special events. Our senior programs provide opportunities for adults 50 years of age and older, to engage in active and healthy programming. The Church Lane Senior Center hosts a congregate lunch program, numerous senior focused special events, weekday door-to-door transportation service (managed by a different full-time coordinator) and drop- in programs and classes. DEFINITION:

Under general direction, manages and directs the Accounting Division of the Finance Department, including the budget development process and preparation of the budget book; budget monitoring, analysis and reporting; short- and long-range fiscal forecasting; ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures; and capital planning.  The Accounting Manager trains and evaluates assigned staff.

CLASS CHARACTERISITICS:

This is a single position classification at the managerial level in the Finance Department responsible for managing the budget and accounting functions. The Accounting Manager has a broad range of independence within policy and procedural limitations and works under minimal supervision. The incumbent is accountable to the Finance Director for the quality and efficiency of services directed.  The Accounting Manager is expected to provide resources, system support, and oversight to all subordinate professional and paraprofessional staff. This position is responsible for the successful planning and implementation of the citywide budget process and the day-to-day accounting operations.  

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (illustrative only):

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the activities of the Accounting Division including general accounting, accounts payable and payroll.
• Recommend the appointment of personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; conduct performance evaluations; work with employees on performance issues; and implement disciplinary procedures.
• Prepare, review and maintain journal entries and general ledger postings and supporting financial records and supervise the maintenance of the General Ledger.

The City of Berkeley is seeking a Housing Development Specialist (Community Development Project Coordinator)! In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of the team responsible for implementing the City’s Housing Trust Fund and Small Sites Programs. This position will work on renovations and new construction projects, the latter of which will include developments at the North Berkeley and Ashby BART sites.
