Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator-Special Events, this position is responsible for developing, organizing and overseeing a variety of recreational services, activities, and programs. The current vacancy is for a Recreation Technician who will assist with various community and special events, including the weekly Farmer’s Markets, seasonal event and large scale events, such as the St. Patrick’s Day Festival, which attracts over 50,000 visitors.

Work Schedule: 8 hours per day; 5 days per week (Monday – Friday); 12 months per year
The salary range for this classification is $18.66-$22.71 hourly, $38,812.80 -$47,236.80 annually. This position is covered under the Living Wage Policy and your hourly rate will be adjusted to $22.68/23.93 per hour. The Living Wage rate consists of a base amount and an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay.
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Work schedule: Up to 29 hours per week as needed. No guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. Hours of operation are typically Monday through Friday 7:00am-9:30pm and Saturday/Sunday from 6:30am-10:00pm.
