Under the direction of the Fire Chief and supervised by the fire department members, student Interns will gain experience while at the fire department with the primary focus on safety. Work will include labor in a non-hostile work environment and may include but not limited to, hose rolling, fire hydrant maintenance and painting, cleaning apparatus and stations, emergency scene clean-up, fire prevention visits, public education participation and general administrative assignments.
To provide analytical, administrative and technical assistance by coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on a wide variety of areas related to human resources, including: recruitment, retention, employee development, benefits administration, employee engagement, wellness programs, compensation, and payroll. To support the Human Resources Manager in carrying out employee policies, procedures, and programs that support the Town’s mission, vision and service delivery priorities.
