Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) is the Bay Area's newest transit service providing commuter rail transportation to Marin and Sonoma Counties. We are seeking experienced and motivated individuals who enjoy working with new equipment, creating new processes and systems, and motivating a staff to maintain and operate a first class public service. The Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a vehicle maintenance operation in a commuter rail environment.
The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Messenger Clerk classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
The Messenger Clerk performs, under immediate supervision, perform work of routine difficulty in the collection and delivery of documents and materials to City departments and locations throughout the City. Performs routine clerical tasks as required.
Under the supervision of the Fleet Supervisor, the Vehicle/Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic performs a wide variety of preventative and periodic maintenance on City owned vehicles and equipment.
This is a journey-level position where the incumbent is expected to provide customer service to City departments operating vehicles and equipment. Incumbent must be able to work independently and/or as a member of a team on various projects as assigned.
Under general direction of the City Manager, serves as an integral part of the management team and performs a variety of leadership, supervisory, administrative and technical work in the Planning and Building Department, including overseeing the permitting and inspection process, the design review and planning process and other activities related to the physical development of the Town.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Assessment Assistant I/II in the Assessor’s Office. Assessment Assistant I is the entry level class of this specialized office support series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn County and departmental policies and procedures and state, federal and local laws and regulations related to assessment activities. As experience is gained, there is greater independence of action within established guidelines.
