The shift is usually 1 to 2 nights per week, including weekends, for approximately 5 to 6 hours per shift. There may also be opportunities to work special events that will require work on weekdays and weekends. Work schedules vary based on department needs and are subject to change on a weekly basis.
About the Position:
The Public Health Officer coordinates across all divisions of the County Health and Human Services departments in order to leverage resources and ensure a systems approach in prioritizing the public health needs of the community. This position consults with the Yuba and Sutter County Directors for Health and Human Services, Public Health Administrators and Environmental Health Directors to assist in coordinating and providing oversight to public health programs for the Bi-County region.
